एतावदेव भवति वरशापविजृम्भितैः ।
यथा संचिन्त्य एवाहं तथा स्मृत इति स्मृतिः ॥ ३६ ॥

All this comes to be through the manifestations of boons and curses. Just as I am conceived in thought, so indeed am I remembered – this is the tradition (smṛti).
