वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-54, verse-5

प्रत्यक्षं यद्यहं तस्य त्वया स्यां धर्षिता बलात् ।
शयिता त्वं हतः संख्ये जनस्थाने यथा खरः ॥५॥
5. pratyakṣaṃ yadyahaṃ tasya tvayā syāṃ dharṣitā balāt ,
śayitā tvaṃ hataḥ saṃkhye janasthāne yathā kharaḥ.
5. pratyakṣam yadi aham tasya tvayā syām dharṣitā balāt
| śayitā tvam hataḥ saṃkhye janasthāne yathā kharaḥ
5. yadi aham tasya pratyakṣam tvayā balāt dharṣitā syām,
tvam saṃkhye hataḥ śayitā,
yathā kharaḥ janasthāne
5. If I were to be forcibly violated by you in his (Rāma's) presence, then you would lie slain on the battlefield, just as Khara did in Janasthana.
