वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-57, verse-9

संमोहादिह बालेन यथा स्याद्भक्षितं विषम् ।
एवं ममाप्यविज्ञातं शब्दवेध्यमयं फलम् ॥९॥
9. saṃmohādiha bālena yathā syādbhakṣitaṃ viṣam ,
evaṃ mamāpyavijñātaṃ śabdavedhyamayaṃ phalam.

9. Just as a child might ignorantly eat poison due to delusion (saṃmoha), so too has this consequence, stemming from my sound-piercing (śabdavedha) act, come to pass unbeknownst to me.
