वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-47, verse-7

सा हि देवी महाराजं कैकेयी राज्यकारणात् ।
अपि न च्यावयेत् प्राणान्दृष्ट्वा भरतमागतम् ॥७॥
7. sā hi devī mahārājaṃ kaikeyī rājyakāraṇāt ,
api na cyāvayet prāṇāndṛṣṭvā bharatamāgatam.

api na cyāvayet prāṇān dṛṣṭvā bharatam āgatam
7. hi sā devī kaikeyī rājyakāraṇāt mahārājam
dṛṣṭvā āgatam bharatam api prāṇān na cyāvayet
7. Indeed, may that Queen Kaikeyī, for the sake of the kingdom, not deprive the great king of his life, especially after seeing Bharata arrive.
