वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-47, verse-26

अधर्मभय भीतश्च परलोकस्य चानघ ।
तेन लक्ष्मण नाद्याहमात्मानमभिषेचये ॥२६॥
26. adharmabhaya bhītaśca paralokasya cānagha ,
tena lakṣmaṇa nādyāhamātmānamabhiṣecaye.
26. adharma-bhaya bhītaḥ ca para-lokasya ca anagha
tena lakṣmaṇa na adya aham ātmānam abhiṣecaye
26. anagha (lakṣmaṇa) adharma-bhaya-bhītaḥ ca para-lokasya
(bhītaḥ asmi) tena lakṣmaṇa adya aham ātmānam na abhiṣecaye
26. And, O sinless one, being fearful of unrighteousness (adharma) and of the consequences in the afterlife, therefore, O Lakshmana, I will not coronate myself today.
