36. tadadya naivānagha rājyamavyayaṃ na sarvakāmānna sukhaṃ na maithilīm ,
na jīvitaṃ tvāmanṛtena yojayan vṛṇīya satyaṃ vratamastu te tathā.

36.
Therefore, O sinless one, today I would choose neither the imperishable kingdom, nor all desires, nor happiness, nor Maithili, nor even life itself, if it meant connecting you with untruth. Let your vow of truth (satya) remain steadfast.
