वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-9, verse-17

गतानां तु ततः पूजामृषिपुत्रश्चकार ह ।
इदमर्घ्यमिदं पाद्यमिदं मूलं फलं च नः ॥१७॥
17. gatānāṃ tu tataḥ pūjāmṛṣiputraścakāra ha ,
idamarghyamidaṃ pādyamidaṃ mūlaṃ phalaṃ ca naḥ.

arghyam idam pādyam idam mūlam phalam ca naḥ
17. gatānām tu tataḥ ṛṣiputraḥ ha pūjām cakāra (saḥ āha:) idam arghyam,

17. After they had arrived, the sage's son indeed performed worship (pūjā), offering: 'This is the water for respectful offering, this is the water for washing feet, and these are our roots and fruits (for food).'
