मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-32, verse-15

अन्यायकन्याशुल्कोत्थं द्रव्यञ्चात्र विगर्हितम् ।
दुर्गन्धि फेनिलञ्चाम्बु तथैवाल्पतरोदकम् ॥१५॥
15. anyāyakanyāśulkotthaṃ dravyañcātra vigarhitam .

15. anyāyakanyāśulkottham dravyam ca atra vigarhitam
durgandhi phenilam ca ambu tathā eva alpatara udakam
15. Also, wealth obtained through injustice or as a bride-price is deemed reprehensible in this context. Similarly, foul-smelling and frothy water, as well as very scarce water, are (also forbidden).
