स तेऽसाध्यो ह्यन्यथा वा दुःखसाध्यो भविष्यति ।
तत्त्वं प्रतिज्ञां कुरुषे यदि पुत्रात्र चैव ते ॥६॥

6. sa te'sādhyo hyanyathā vā duḥkhasādhyo bhaviṣyati .

Indeed, he will be unconquerable by you, or otherwise difficult to conquer. Therefore, O son, if you make a vow here, it will be to your advantage.
