मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-122, verse-21

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततो राजा निशम्यैतद्वाक्यं पुत्रमुखाच्छ्रुतम् ।
समुत्पत्याब्रवीत्पुत्रमहमर्थी प्रयच्छ मे ॥२१॥
21. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tato rājā niśamyaitadvākyaṃ putramukhācchrutam .
samutpatyābravītputramahamarthī prayaccha me.
21. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | tataḥ rājā niśamya etat vākyaṃ putramukhāt
śrutam | samutpatya abravīt putram aham arthī prayaccha me
21. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then the king, having heard this speech, which was uttered by his son, quickly rose and said to his son, 'I am a petitioner! Give (something) to me!'
