मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-122, verse-32

तथापि किं करोम्येष सत्यपाशवशङ्गतः ।
करिष्यामि यथाऽऽत्थ त्वं भुज्यतां निजशासनम् ॥३२॥
32. tathāpi kiṃ karomyeṣa satyapāśavaśaṅgataḥ .
kariṣyāmi yathā''ttha tvaṃ bhujyatāṃ nijaśāsanam.
32. tathā api kim karomi eṣaḥ satyapāśavaśaṅgataḥ
kariṣyāmi yathā āttha tvam bhujyatām nijaśāsanam
32. Nevertheless, what can I do, having succumbed to the power of the bond of truth (satya)? I shall do as you command. Let your own decree be fulfilled.
