स चायत्तस्तव पितुस्त्वया साध्यो मयापि च ।
प्रतिज्ञाते त्वया पुत्र ततस्तत्र यताम्यहम् ॥३॥

3. sa cāyattastava pitustvayā sādhyo mayāpi ca .
pratijñāte tvayā putra tatastatra yatāmyaham.

And that (fast) is dependent on your father, to be accomplished by you and also by me. Son, once you have promised it, then I will strive for it.
