ते पञ्च पाञ्चालरथाः सुरूपैर्वैकर्तनं कर्णमभिद्रवन्तः ।

16. Those five charioteers of the Pañcālas, appearing splendidly, charged at Karṇa, the son of Vikartana. They were unable to dislodge him from his chariot, just as the senses cannot dislodge a resolute (kṛtātman) person from their courage.
