महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-60, verse-27

ततोऽभवद्युद्धमतीव दारुणं तवाहितानां तव सैनिकैः सह ।
रथाश्वमातङ्गविनाशनं तथा यथा सुराणामसुरैः पुराभवत् ॥२७॥
27. tato'bhavadyuddhamatīva dāruṇaṁ; tavāhitānāṁ tava sainikaiḥ saha ,
rathāśvamātaṅgavināśanaṁ tathā; yathā surāṇāmasuraiḥ purābhavat.
27. tataḥ abhavat yuddham atīva dāruṇam
tava ahitānām tava sainikaiḥ saha
ratha-aśva-mātaṅga-vināśanam tathā
yathā surāṇām asuraiḥ purā abhavat

27. Then, an extremely dreadful battle took place between your enemies and your soldiers, a battle that caused the destruction of chariots, horses, and elephants, just as such a battle occurred formerly between the gods and the asuras.
