महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-79, verse-5

ते पिबन्त इवाकाशमश्वैरष्टौ महारथाः ।
व्यराजयन्दश दिशो वैयाघ्रैर्हेमचन्द्रकैः ॥५॥
5. te pibanta ivākāśamaśvairaṣṭau mahārathāḥ ,
vyarājayandaśa diśo vaiyāghrairhemacandrakaiḥ.

5. Those eight great charioteers, with their horses as if devouring the sky, illuminated the ten directions with their tiger-claw ornaments and golden moon-disc decorations.
