महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-79, verse-1

संजय उवाच ।
तावकास्तु समीक्ष्यैव वृष्ण्यन्धककुरूत्तमौ ।
प्रागत्वरञ्जिघांसन्तस्तथैव विजयः परान् ॥१॥
1. saṁjaya uvāca ,
tāvakāstu samīkṣyaiva vṛṣṇyandhakakurūttamau ,
prāgatvarañjighāṁsantastathaiva vijayaḥ parān.
1. saṃjayaḥ uvāca tāvakāḥ tu samīkṣya eva vṛṣṇyandhakakurūttamau
prāgatvaran jighāṃsantaḥ tathā eva vijayaḥ parān

1. Sanjaya said: "But your warriors, having observed the two foremost individuals—Kṛṣṇa (the best among the Vṛṣṇis and Andhakas) and Arjuna (the best among the Kurus)—rushed forward, intent on killing, just as Vijaya (Arjuna) himself rushed against his enemies."
