महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-129, verse-13

योधानामशिवा रौद्रा राजन्नन्तकगामिनी ।
कुञ्जराश्वमनुष्याणां प्राणान्तकरणी तदा ॥१३॥
13. yodhānāmaśivā raudrā rājannantakagāminī ,
kuñjarāśvamanuṣyāṇāṁ prāṇāntakaraṇī tadā.

13. O king, at that time, it was an inauspicious and dreadful [situation], which was leading the warriors, elephants, horses, and humans towards their ultimate demise and causing the end of their lives.
