महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-12, verse-10

तत्र पुण्या जनपदा न तत्र म्रियते जनः ।

10. There, the regions are pure, and people do not die. How then could there be famine? For they (the inhabitants) are endowed with forbearance and splendor.
