23. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,

ayaṁ gacchati me bhartā phalāhāro mahāvanam.

Markandeya said: Approaching her mother-in-law and father-in-law, the greatly virtuous woman spoke, saying, "My husband, who subsists on fruits, is going to the great forest."
