महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-280, verse-10

अद्य तद्दिवसं चेति हुत्वा दीप्तं हुताशनम् ।
युगमात्रोदिते सूर्ये कृत्वा पौर्वाह्णिकीः क्रियाः ॥१०॥
10. adya taddivasaṁ ceti hutvā dīptaṁ hutāśanam ,
yugamātrodite sūrye kṛtvā paurvāhṇikīḥ kriyāḥ.

| yugamātrodite sūrye kṛtvā paurvāhṇikīḥ kriyāḥ
10. Thinking, "Today is that day," and after offering oblations into the blazing fire, and performing the morning rituals when the sun had risen only a short while (lit., by the measure of a yoke).
