महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-169, verse-27

इदमेवंविधं कस्माद्देवता नाविशन्त्युत ।
पुरंदरपुराद्धीदं विशिष्टमिति लक्षये ॥२७॥
27. idamevaṁvidhaṁ kasmāddevatā nāviśantyuta ,
puraṁdarapurāddhīdaṁ viśiṣṭamiti lakṣaye.
27. idam evamvidham kasmāt devatāḥ na āviśanti uta
purandarapurāt hi idam viśiṣṭam iti lakṣaye
27. Why, indeed, do the gods not enter such a place as this? I perceive this to be superior to Indra's own city.
