महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-36, verse-21

तदुच्यतां महाबाहो कं कामं प्रदिशामि ते ।
प्रवणोऽस्मि वरं दातुं पश्य मे तपसो बलम् ॥२१॥
21. taducyatāṁ mahābāho kaṁ kāmaṁ pradiśāmi te ,
pravaṇo'smi varaṁ dātuṁ paśya me tapaso balam.
21. tat ucyatām mahābāho kam kāmam pradiśāmi te
pravaṇaḥ asmi varam dātum paśya me tapasaḥ balam
21. Therefore, O mighty-armed one, tell me what wish I may grant to you. I am inclined to give a boon; behold the power of my asceticism (tapas).
