महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-95, verse-10

यथाशक्त्या भगवता तदन्नं समुपार्जितम् ।
तस्मिन्सत्रे तु यत्किंचिदयोग्यं तत्र नाभवत् ।
तथा ह्यनेकैर्मुनिभिर्महान्तः क्रतवः कृताः ॥१०॥

10. The venerable one procured that food according to his capacity. In that Vedic ritual (satra), absolutely nothing inappropriate occurred. Indeed, in this manner, many sages performed great Vedic rituals (kratu).
