महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-76, verse-16

उल्काश्च जघ्निरे सूर्यं विकीर्यन्त्यः समन्ततः ।
वेपथुश्चाभवद्राजन्कैलासस्य महागिरेः ॥१६॥
16. ulkāśca jaghnire sūryaṁ vikīryantyaḥ samantataḥ ,
vepathuścābhavadrājankailāsasya mahāgireḥ.

vepathuḥ ca abhavat rājan kailāsasya mahā-gireḥ
16. ca ulkāḥ samantataḥ vikīryantyaḥ sūryam jaghnire
ca rājan mahā-gireḥ kailāsasya vepathuḥ abhavat
16. And meteors, scattering all around, seemed to strike the sun. And, O King, a trembling occurred in the great mountain Kailāsa.
