महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-23, verse-40

तारयेत कुलं कृत्स्नमेकोऽपीह द्विजोत्तमः ।
किमङ्ग पुनरेकं वै तस्मात्पात्रं समाचरेत् ॥४०॥

40. tārayeta kulaṁ kṛtsnameko'pīha dvijottamaḥ ,
kimaṅga punarekaṁ vai tasmātpātraṁ samācaret.

40. Even one most excellent brāhmaṇa (dvijottama) here can redeem the entire family. What more needs to be said about multiple such individuals? Therefore, one should seek out a worthy recipient (pātra).
