महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-72, verse-24

एवं धर्मेण वृत्तेन प्रजास्त्वं परिपालयन् ।
स्वन्तं पुण्यं यशोवन्तं प्राप्स्यसे कुरुनन्दन ॥२४॥
24. evaṁ dharmeṇa vṛttena prajāstvaṁ paripālayan ,
svantaṁ puṇyaṁ yaśovantaṁ prāpsyase kurunandana.
24. evam dharmeṇa vṛttena prajāḥ tvam paripālayan
svantam puṇyam yaśovantam prāpsyase kurunandana
24. kurunandana evam dharmeṇa vṛttena prajāḥ
paripālayan tvam svantam puṇyam yaśovantam prāpsyase
24. O delight of the Kurus, by thus protecting your subjects with (conduct based on) natural law (dharma) and virtuous behavior, you will attain excellent merit and great fame.
