महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-72, verse-13

मा स्माधर्मेण लाभेन लिप्सेथास्त्वं धनागमम् ।
धर्मार्थावध्रुवौ तस्य योऽपशास्त्रपरो भवेत् ॥१३॥
13. mā smādharmeṇa lābhena lipsethāstvaṁ dhanāgamam ,
dharmārthāvadhruvau tasya yo'paśāstraparo bhavet.
13. mā sma adharmeṇa lābhena lipsethāḥ tvam dhanāgamam
dharmārthau adhruvau tasya yaḥ apaśāstraparaḥ bhavet

13. Do not seek income by means of unrighteous (adharma) gain. For him who follows unlawful (apaśāstra) practices, his natural law (dharma) and material prosperity (artha) are both uncertain.
