पाणिग्राहस्य तनय इति वेदेषु निश्चितम् ।

It is established in the Vedas that the son of the hand-taker (husband) is [the rightful heir]. Having established this natural law (dharma) in their minds, those [kṣatriya women] approached the brahmins (brāhmaṇas). And in the world, the renewal (punarbhava) of the kṣatriyas is also observed.
