महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-117, verse-31

प्रेतकार्ये च निर्वृत्ते पितृमेधं महायशाः ।
लभतां सर्वधर्मज्ञः पाण्डुः कुरुकुलोद्वहः ॥३१॥
31. pretakārye ca nirvṛtte pitṛmedhaṁ mahāyaśāḥ ,
labhatāṁ sarvadharmajñaḥ pāṇḍuḥ kurukulodvahaḥ.

31. And once the funeral rites are completed, may Pandu, the greatly renowned, the knower of all (natural law) dharma, and the upholder of the Kuru lineage, receive the ancestral sacrifice (pitṛmedha).
