महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-116, verse-7

रहस्यात्मसमां दृष्ट्वा राजा राजीवलोचनाम् ।
न शशाक नियन्तुं तं कामं कामबलात्कृतः ॥७॥

7. After seeing the lotus-eyed Madri, who was as lovely as himself, in a secluded spot, the king, compelled by the overwhelming power of (kāma) desire, was unable to restrain that desire (kāma).

7. כשראה המלך את בעלת עיני הלוטוס, שהייתה לו כנפשו, בבדידות, לא יכול היה לרסן את התשוקה, כי כוחה של התשוקה דחף אותו.
