महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-116, verse-22

माद्र्युवाच ।
विलोभ्यमानेन मया वार्यमाणेन चासकृत् ।
आत्मा न वारितोऽनेन सत्यं दिष्टं चिकीर्षुणा ॥२२॥
22. mādryuvāca ,
vilobhyamānena mayā vāryamāṇena cāsakṛt ,
ātmā na vārito'nena satyaṁ diṣṭaṁ cikīrṣuṇā.
22. mādrī uvāca vilobhyamānena mayā vāryamāṇena ca
asakṛt ātmā na vāritaḥ anena satyam diṣṭam cikīrṣuṇā
22. Madri said: Even though he was being tempted by me and repeatedly restrained, his self (ātman) was not held back by him, for he truly wished to fulfill destiny.
