महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-116, verse-27

न चाप्यहं वर्तयन्ती निर्विशेषं सुतेषु ते ।
वृत्तिमार्ये चरिष्यामि स्पृशेदेनस्तथा हि माम् ॥२७॥
27. na cāpyahaṁ vartayantī nirviśeṣaṁ suteṣu te ,
vṛttimārye cariṣyāmi spṛśedenastathā hi mām.
27. na ca api aham vartayantī nirviśeṣam suteṣu te
vṛttim ārye cariṣyāmi spṛśet enaḥ tathā hi mām
27. "And I cannot live on, O noble one (Kunti), treating your sons without distinction (i.e., equally), because sin (enas) would then certainly touch me."
