भगवद्गीता       bhagavad-gītā - chapter-4, verse-12

काङ्क्षन्तः कर्मणां सिद्धिं यजन्त इह देवताः ।
क्षिप्रं हि मानुषे लोके सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा ॥१२॥
12. kāṅkṣantaḥ karmaṇāṁ siddhiṁ yajanta iha devatāḥ ,
kṣipraṁ hi mānuṣe loke siddhirbhavati karmajā.
12. kāṅkṣantaḥ karmaṇām siddhim yajantaḥ iha devatāḥ
kṣipram hi mānuṣe loke siddhiḥ bhavati karmajā
12. iha karmaṇām siddhim kāṅkṣantaḥ devatāḥ yajantaḥ
(janaḥ) hi mānuṣe loke karmajā siddhiḥ kṣipram bhavati
12. Those who desire success in their actions (karma) worship various deities here. For in the human world, success resulting from action (karma) is quickly attained.
