योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-101, verse-26

मृतिरत्यन्तनाशश्चेत्तद्भवामयसंक्षयः ।
भूयः शरीरलाभश्चेन्नव एव तदुत्सवः ॥ २६ ॥
mṛtiratyantanāśaścettadbhavāmayasaṃkṣayaḥ ,
bhūyaḥ śarīralābhaścennava eva tadutsavaḥ 26
26. mṛtiḥ atyantanāśaḥ cet tat bhava āmaya saṃkṣayaḥ
| bhūyaḥ śarīralābhaḥ cet nava eva tat utsavaḥ ||
26. mṛtiḥ atyantanāśaḥ cet tat bhava-āmaya-saṃkṣayaḥ
bhūyaḥ śarīralābhaḥ cet tat nava utsavaḥ eva
26. If death is utter destruction, then that is the complete cessation of the suffering of cyclic existence (saṃsāra). If, however, a new body is obtained again, that is indeed a new celebration.
