योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-101, verse-16

न जायते न म्रियते संविदाकाशमक्षयम् ।
भवेत्कथं कथय किं किलाकाशस्य संक्षयः ॥ १६ ॥

na jāyate na mriyate saṃvidākāśamakṣayam ,
bhavetkathaṃ kathaya kiṃ kilākāśasya saṃkṣayaḥ 16

katham kathaya kim kila ākāśasya saṃkṣayaḥ

16. The imperishable expanse of consciousness is neither born nor does it die. Tell me, how indeed could there be any destruction of (pure) space (ākāśa)?
