कुसुमापूर्णकल्पाभ्रकुन्तले तस्य मूर्धनि ।
कल्पाङ्गमहमद्राक्षं शाखाचक्रमिव स्थितम् ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: On that summit of Mount Meru, whose cloud-like tresses were filled with blossoms, I beheld a part of the (cosmic age) kalpa, standing like a wheel of branches.
