श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इति प्राप्य परं योगमुपदेशमनुत्तमम् ।
जीवन्मुक्तो बभूवासौ ततो देवगुरोः सुतः ॥ १ ॥
इति प्राप्य परं योगमुपदेशमनुत्तमम् ।
जीवन्मुक्तो बभूवासौ ततो देवगुरोः सुतः ॥ १ ॥

iti prāpya paraṃ yogamupadeśamanuttamam ,

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Having thus attained the supreme spiritual discipline (yoga) and this excellent instruction, that son of the preceptor of the gods consequently became liberated while living (jīvanmukta).
