इति शुक्रः पुरं प्राप्य वैबुधं स्वेन तेजसा ।
विसस्मार निजं भावं प्राक्तनं व्यसनं विना ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Thus, upon reaching the city of the gods with his own splendor, Śukra completely forgot his former state (bhāva), free from any distress.
