योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-7, verse-7

चन्द्रकान्त इव ज्योत्स्नां शीतलां खे विलासिनीम् ।
तेनावलोकिता सापि तत्परायणतां गता ॥ ७ ॥
candrakānta iva jyotsnāṃ śītalāṃ khe vilāsinīm ,
tenāvalokitā sāpi tatparāyaṇatāṃ gatā 7
7. candrakāntaḥ iva jyotsnām śītalām khe vilāsinīm
tena avalokitā sā api tatparāyaṇatām gatā
7. candrakāntaḥ jyotsnām iva śītalām vilāsinīm (kāminīm) khe
(saḥ avaikṣata) tena avalokitā sā api tatparāyaṇatām gatā
7. (He gazed at that captivating woman) who was playful and cool like moonlight (jyotsnā) in the sky, just as a moonstone (chandrakānta) responds to moonlight. Being thus gazed upon by him, she too became wholly dedicated to him.
