योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-31, verse-26

अयथाशास्त्रसंचारवृत्तेरर्थेन युध्यते ।
यो नरस्तस्य संग्रामे मृतस्य निरयोऽक्षयः ॥ २६ ॥
ayathāśāstrasaṃcāravṛtterarthena yudhyate ,
yo narastasya saṃgrāme mṛtasya nirayo'kṣayaḥ 26
26. ayathāśāstrasaṃcāravṛtteḥ arthena yudhyate yaḥ
naraḥ tasya saṃgrāme mṛtasya nirayaḥ akṣayaḥ
26. yaḥ naraḥ ayathāśāstrasaṃcāravṛtteḥ arthena yudhyate,
tasya saṃgrāme mṛtasya akṣayaḥ nirayaḥ (bhavati).
26. That man who fights for wealth acquired through conduct not in accordance with the scriptures (śāstra), for him, if he dies in battle, the torment of hell (niraya) is eternal.
