योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-31, verse-32

धर्म्यं यथा तथा युद्धं यदि स्यात्तर्हि संस्थितिः ।
नाशयेयुरलं मत्ताः परलोकभयोज्झिताः ॥ ३२ ॥
dharmyaṃ yathā tathā yuddhaṃ yadi syāttarhi saṃsthitiḥ ,
nāśayeyuralaṃ mattāḥ paralokabhayojjhitāḥ 32
32. dharmyam yathā tathā yuddham yadi syāt tarhi saṃsthitiḥ
nāśayeyuḥ alam mattāḥ para-loka-bhaya-ujjhitaḥ
32. yadi yuddham dharmyam yathā tathā syāt,
tarhi saṃsthitiḥ (syāt).
(anye tu) para-loka-bhaya-ujjhitaḥ mattāḥ alam nāśayeyuḥ.
32. If a battle were fought in accordance with natural law (dharma), then there would be stability. Otherwise, arrogant individuals, having abandoned the fear of the next world, would indeed cause destruction.
