योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-31, verse-29

परिपाल्यस्वदेशैकपालने यः स्थितः सदा ।
राजा मृतास्तदर्थं ये ते वीरा वीरलोकिनः ॥ २९ ॥
paripālyasvadeśaikapālane yaḥ sthitaḥ sadā ,
rājā mṛtāstadarthaṃ ye te vīrā vīralokinaḥ 29
29. paripālya-svadeśa-eka-pālane yaḥ sthitaḥ sadā
rājā mṛtāḥ tad-artham ye te vīrāḥ vīra-lokinaḥ
29. yaḥ rājā sadā paripālya-svadeśa-eka-pālane sthitaḥ,
ye ca tad-artham mṛtāḥ,
te vīrāḥ vīra-lokinaḥ (bhavanti).
29. A king (rājā) who is always intent on the sole, thorough protection of his own country, and those heroes (vīrā) who die for that purpose, they attain the world of heroes.
