योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-3, verse-9

सर्वासां भूतजातीनामेकोऽजः कारणं परम् ।
अजस्य कारणं नास्ति तेनासावेकदेहवान् ॥ ९ ॥
sarvāsāṃ bhūtajātīnāmeko'jaḥ kāraṇaṃ param ,
ajasya kāraṇaṃ nāsti tenāsāvekadehavān 9
9. sarvāsām bhūtajātīnām ekaḥ ajaḥ kāraṇam param
ajasya kāraṇam na asti tena asau ekadehavān
9. sarvāsām bhūtajātīnām ekaḥ ajaḥ param kāraṇam [asti].
ajasya [tu] kāraṇam na asti.
tena asau ekadehavān [bhavati].
9. For all classes of beings, the one Unborn (aja) is the supreme cause. For the Unborn (aja) itself, there is no [further] cause, therefore It has only one body.
