योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-109, verse-4

भक्ताः केचन च व्याघ्रैर्निर्गतास्तु स्वमन्दिरात् ।
अजातपक्षकाः श्येनैः खगा नीडोद्गता इव ॥ ४ ॥
bhaktāḥ kecana ca vyāghrairnirgatāstu svamandirāt ,
ajātapakṣakāḥ śyenaiḥ khagā nīḍodgatā iva 4
4. bhaktāḥ kecana ca vyāghraiḥ nirgatāḥ tu svamandirāt
ajātapakṣakāḥ śyenaiḥ khagāḥ nīḍa udgatāḥ iva
4. ca kecana bhaktāḥ vyāghraiḥ iva svamandirāt nirgatāḥ
nīḍa udgatāḥ ajātapakṣakāḥ khagāḥ śyenaiḥ tu
4. And some, who had just come out of their homes, were devoured by tigers, just like unfledged birds that have just emerged from their nests are seized by hawks.
