वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-84, verse-24

तेन खड्गेन संक्रुद्धः सुग्रीवस्य चमूमुखे ।
कवचं पातयामास स खड्गाभिहतो ऽपतत् ॥२४॥
24. tena khaḍgena saṃkruddhaḥ sugrīvasya camūmukhe ,
kavacaṃ pātayāmāsa sa khaḍgābhihato'patat.

24. Greatly enraged, he (the rākṣasa) made Sugrīva's armor fall at the front of the army with that sword. Struck by the sword, he (Sugrīva) then fell.
