वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-47, verse-26

मम रूपं समास्थाय कृतवानसि दुर्मते ।
अकर्तव्यमिदं यस्माद्विफलस्त्वं भविष्यति ॥२६॥
26. mama rūpaṃ samāsthāya kṛtavānasi durmate ,
akartavyamidaṃ yasmādviphalastvaṃ bhaviṣyati.
26. mama rūpam samāsthāya kṛtavān asi durmate
akartavyam idam yasmāt viphalaḥ tvam bhaviṣyati
26. durmate yasmāt mama rūpam samāsthāya idam
akartavyam kṛtavān asi tvam viphalaḥ bhaviṣyati
26. O ill-minded one, because you have done this forbidden act by assuming my form, you will become fruitless (viphala).
