वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-47, verse-15

गौतमस्य नरश्रेष्ठ पूर्वमासीन्महात्मनः ।
आश्रमो दिव्यसंकाशः सुरैरपि सुपूजितः ॥१५॥
15. gautamasya naraśreṣṭha pūrvamāsīnmahātmanaḥ ,
āśramo divyasaṃkāśaḥ surairapi supūjitaḥ.

| āśramaḥ divyasaṃkāśaḥ suraiḥ api supūjitaḥ
15. naraśreṣṭha,
pūrvam mahātmanaḥ gautamasya āśramaḥ āsīn.

suraiḥ api supūjitaḥ [ca].
15. O best among men (naraśreṣṭha), formerly, this hermitage (āśrama) belonged to the great-souled (mahātman) Gautama. It was splendid like a divine (divyasaṃkāśa) abode and was highly revered even by the gods (sura).
