मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-46, verse-8

अहर्मुखे प्रबुद्धस्तु जगदादिरनादिमान् ।
सर्वहेतुरचिन्त्यात्मा परः कोऽप्यपरक्रियः ॥८॥
8. aharmukhe prabuddhastu jagadādiranādimān .
sarvaheturacintyātmā paraḥ ko'pyaparakriyaḥ.
8. aharmukhe prabuddhaḥ tu jagadādiḥ anādimān
sarvahetuḥ acintyātmā paraḥ kaḥ api aparakriyaḥ
8. At the dawn of the day, the one who is the origin of the universe, beginningless, the cause of all, whose essence (ātman) is inconceivable, the supreme one, and whose actions are without parallel, becomes active.
