यथा स संज्ञामायाति ब्रह्मविष्ण्वीशकारिणीम् ॥१६॥

16. yathā prāgvyāpakaḥ kṣetrī pālako lāvakastathā .
yathā sa saṃjñāmāyāti brahmaviṣṇvīśakāriṇīm.

Just as formerly, the all-pervading indweller (kṣetrī) acts as the preserver and the destroyer, similarly, He assumes the designation that creates Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Īśa (Rudra).
