मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-27, verse-5

व्यसनानि परित्यज्य सप्त मूलहराणि वै ।
आत्मा रिपुभ्यः संरक्ष्यो बहिर्मन्त्रविनिर्गमात् ॥५॥
5. vyasanāni parityajya sapta mūlaharāṇi vai .
ātmā ripubhyaḥ saṃrakṣyo bahirmantravinirgamāt.

5. Having given up the seven vices that destroy the very foundation, one's self (ātman) must be protected from enemies, especially from the disclosure of secret counsel.
